Title: Neutrino Physics at NOMAD
Speaker: Dr. Paul Soler (Glasgow)
Abstract
In this talk I will present the final results from the muon to
tau neutrino (and electron to tau neutrino) oscillation search at
NOMAD. NOMAD is also sensitive to muon to electron neutrino oscillations,
relevant to the oscillation claim from the LSND experiment at Los Alamos.
First results from this analysis will also be presented. Time permitting, I
will summarise some of the other physics topics being carried out at NOMAD,
which includes a measurement of Lambda polarization, charm production and
searches for exotic particles. I will conclude with some results from a
prototype silicon vertex detector installed in NOMAD, showing good potential
for this type of technology to be used at future facilities like a neutrino
factory.
