Abstract
This talk gives an overview of the theory status of top quark physics at the LHC,
explainig which quantities are known to what precision and critically examining
theoretical uncertainites. Particular emphasis is given to non-factorizable
corrections, i.e. corrections that link the production and decay stages of top quark
processes, which are usually neglected. In many cases this approximation is
justified, but when it comes to very precise determinations of the top quark mass,
these corrections have to be carefully analysed.
