Abstract
The updated search for the Standard Model Higgs boson in proton-proton collisions with the ATLAS detector at the LHC is presented.
The searches in the decay channels H->γγ, H->ZZ->4l and H->WW->lvlv have been improved and updated for the complete available dataset,
which corresponds to an integrated luminosity of about 4.8/fb collected at sqrt(s)= 7 TeV in 2011 and about 5.8/fb at sqrt(s)= 8 TeV in 2012.
An excess of events, consistent with the production of a narrow resonance with a mass of about 126 GeV,
is observed and its statistical significance is discussed.
