Title: Protons in the Prairie - Status and Perspectives of the D0 Experiment
Speaker: Dr Stefan Soldner-Rembold (Manchester)
Abstract
The DO experiment is designed to study high energy proton-antiproton
interactions at Fermilab's Tevatron collider in Batavia close to Chicago
(USA).
A wide variety of physics topics can be studied at the Tevatron:
top-quark properties, electroweak precision variables and B physics, as well
as searches for the Higgs boson, for Supersymmetry and for other phenomena
beyond the Standard Model.
In my presentation I will give an introduction into the experiment, followed
by a preview of some selected physics highlights for the upcoming spring
conferences.
